EDP – Entrepreneurship Development Program
About The Project
EDP is a structured training initiative that builds entrepreneurial capacity among youth, women, and aspiring business owners. It covers business planning, marketing, legal compliance, and financial literacy, enabling participants to start or scale ventures.
Objectives
The program fosters self-employment, strengthens local economies, and promotes micro enterprise creation. It equips participants with tools to manage risk, access credit, and make informed business decisions.
Our Role
We conducted interactive sessions with real-life case studies, helped create business plans, and supported market linkage. Special focus was given to first-generation entrepreneurs, particularly from rural and underserved backgrounds.
PMFME – Prime Minister Formalization of Micro Food Processing Enterprises
About The Project
PMFME is a flagship scheme by MoFPI that supports the formalization of unorganized food processing units. It offers credit-linked subsidies, capacity-building, branding support, and training for both individuals and collectives (SHGs/FPOs).
Objectives
The scheme aims to enhance food processing efficiency, ensure quality standards, and improve income opportunities for small entrepreneurs. It promotes cluster-based development, value addition, and formal registration.
Our Role
We helped entrepreneurs prepare DPRs, provided handholding through application processes, and facilitated access to bank credit and government support. Our NGO also delivered technical training on packaging, hygiene, and marketing.
Laghu Kutir – Cottage Industry Development
About The Project
The Laghu Kutir initiative promotes rural cottage industries by supporting traditional skills and local production units. It focuses on small-scale manufacturing like handicrafts, weaving, food products, and household goods to boost rural livelihoods.
Objectives
The program aims to generate employment, revive traditional crafts, and encourage self-reliant local economies. It promotes skill upgradation, financial inclusion, and the creation of sustainable income sources through home-based enterprises.
Our Role
We identified local artisans and women’s groups, provided technical training, and helped them with product development, packaging, and marketing. Our NGO also assisted in forming SHGs and linking them with schemes and microfinance support.
